Dr. P. Banu Teja Reddy is currently working as a Consultant Urologist at Citizens Specialty Hospitals, Nallagandla, lingampally, Hyderabad. Specialist in Endourology surgeries and an experience of 10 years in these fields. He received his MS (General Surgery), MCh (Urology) from Narayana Medical College, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh and has an additional qualification as DNB (Urology). He finished his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical college, Belgaum, Karnataka.
Dr. Banu Teja Reddy has successfully performed more than 1000 Endourology surgeries like RIRS (removal of kidney stones using laser), URSL (removal of ureter stones), Laser surgery for prostate, PCNL (removal of kidney stones using keyhole technique) apart from Urethroplasties, AV fistula creation, Kidney transplant, Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeries.
His area of expertise is Endourology, Lasers, Andrology and Laparoscopy.
Dr. Banu Teja Reddy has given multiple presentations in various state and national conferences. His presentation on point of technique was awarded 3rd prize in global pediatric urology conference conducted by USI. His paper on “A prospective randomized controlled study of gentamycin irrigation in reducing the post-operative infections following upper tract endoscopy” was awarded 3rd prize in SOGUS-2019, state conference held at Hyderabad.
